COHAB CANYON |
Cohab Canyon is a nice hike through a canyon in Capitol Reef National Park. The trailhead is located about one mile east of the Visitors Center, right across the road from the campground. It is possible to connect Cohab Canyon to some other hikes in the area, however, when I visited we just walked up the canyon for about a mile-and-a-half to where it began to open up and came back. The first half-mile or so is a pretty steep climb up a hillside, but the trail flattens out once you reach the canyon. My favorite part of this hike was exploring some of the narrow slot canyons breaking off of the main canyon.
